About Us - Coffee Bean Banter Experts :)

Dee and I love coffee! We have been coffee fanatics for well over 10 years, now.  Our journey started with a De'Longhi bean to cup machine, then a Magnifica 650,  then  a Frankie Flair, We progressed on to a Gaggia Deco two group machine, which was beautiful and bright red! . We now have a La Marzocca two group machine that we love! On our coffee journey we have discovered home grinding and home roasting, which has been the best part so far. We love the process of roasting and experimenting with roast techniques.

We had a Rational Steam combi oven for years and one day during the early part of 2020 lockdown, Dee just happened to try using the steam oven to roast coffee beans and was completely bowled over by the results. The results were consistent and it did not take long to figure out the best settings. We have since published these settings for all our viewers. These settings will work on any steam oven, Rational, Lincat, Convotherm, Electrolux, Anova, etc. The cost of steam ovens have come down and more people are discovering the usefulness of combi steam ovens. The excellent results with coffee roasting is therefore an icing on the cake.

During the recent 'lockdown' phase of our life journey together, we decided to make videos reviewing coffee beans from different supermarkets, private online companies and other sources, as we find them! As we have enjoyed the coffee reviewing so much, we have also decided to review our second love - food, and food gadgets! We love making good, clean and chemical free food and deserts, and have included this part of our journey in with coffee. When we review coffee, we research the company, the bean, the area of the world that they come from as well as the people that grow them. We love doing this and sharing what we find with anyone and everyone that loves food and coffee! We hope that you enjoy it too.
